Ireland was rocked last week with the awful murder of 22 year old primary teacher Ashling Murphy. Who was taken away from all us on Wednesday evening while out for a run along the river in Tullamore county Offaly. Tributes have been paid and were paid all over the country and the weekend, but one of the nicest ones is this tribute from the Ballinlough groundskeeper in Cork city. See it below
Just got this sent into the show @Corks96FM
'Morning Lads I did this in memory of Ashling Murphy on Ballinlough gaa pitch. Thought ye might like to share it. Cathal. Head grounds man at Ballinlough Cathal Browne' ♥️ #AshlingMurphy pic.twitter.com/gNX18Mn9Ry— KC (@kcshowcork) January 17, 2022
Ashling Murphy will be laid to rest on Tuesday morning and all our thoughts are with her family and friends. It’s been a tough week in Ireland and let’s hope there is a massive change in this country over the coming months/years.
