Team USA’s Bryson DeChambeau accidentally hit an onlooker on the leg with a wayward shot during Friday’s action at the Ryder Cup.
DeChambeau hit a drive for the cameras on Friday, firing the ball a whopping 417-yards off the tee (watch here). However, it wasn’t all sunshines and rainbows for the 2020 US Open winner.
Unfortunately for a poor woman who had come to watch the action unfold, DeChambeau clearly hadn’t completely found his range, with one of his drives having hit her directly on the leg.
Have a look at the clip below.

Hey @b_dechambeau that’s not what they meant when they said, “Go out there a break a leg Bryson”#RyderCupUSA #RyderCup2021 #rydercupeurope pic.twitter.com/d37w9yfXRy

Of course, these are the pitfalls of going to watch the golf, if the golfer gets it wrong, you are very much in the firing line. This woman was unfortunate enough to get hit.
As reported by The Sun, DeChambeau did give the woman a signed golf ball in order to say sorry. That would’ve made her feel a little better, no doubt…
