Dele Alli and Gary Neville both ended up in tears as the midfielder opened up on the mental health issues heโs had and the fact he considered retiring from football.
In an interview with the United legend heโs opened up on how heโs been affected even admitting he thought about retirement aged only 24.
Neville asked him, โWhere was the point where you started to feel it wasnโt right?โ
The former Spurs star replied, โLike one morning I woke up. I had to go to training, this is when heโd [Mourinho] stopped playing me.
โI remember just looking in the mirror. I mean it sounds dramatic, but I was literally just staring in the mirror and I was asking if I could retire now at 24?
โYou know, doing the thing I love. For me that was heartbreaking.
โItโs always been me against myself in everything. I was winning the fight, smiling, showing that I was happy, but inside I was definitely losing the battle.
The footballer, 27, also told Gary Nevilleโs YouTube channel The Overlap: โAt six I was molested.โ

Another added, โDele is 27. Can definitely definitely have good times ahead โ both in top level football and life.โ
A third commented, โI feel sorry for Dele. I guess this can be the downside to young players making it too earlyโฆโ
