Swedish powerhouse striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has weighed in on who is the ‘greatest of all time’ debate and according to the 39-year-old it’s not Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi report the Sun.
It’s a debate that will never be settled but its one football fans around the globe love to passionately argue over and the question is, ‘Who is the greatest football player of all time?’
There’s four names at the start of every debate, Maradona, Pelé, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi but according to Zlatan Ibrahimovic the true G.O.A.T is Brazil legend Ronaldo Nazario.
Zlatan told Discovery+ Sweden: “Ronaldo, El Fenomeno, he’s the best of all time.
“For me, that Ronaldo is football, the way he moved. He’s the greatest player in history, without a doubt.”
Some may agree with the AC Milan striker but many believe Ronaldo Nazario never truly reached his potential due to injury.
Saying that, it shows just how good the Brazilian was because even if he didn’t reach his peak, he certainly reached levels of ability that many professionals can only dream of.
Ronaldo was instrumental for Brazil in 2002 when his glittering performances help them win the World Cup with the then Real Madrid striker scoring both goals in the final.
