Hakim Ziyech was left high and dry by his club Chelsea after they failed to finalise his move to PSG despite the player being in the Paris office all deadline day.
Ziyech has had an underwhelming time at Stamford Bridge since moving from Ajax a few years ago. The Moroccan winger failed to click in any Chelsea system but there was still a feeling that he had a lot of quality to give to the side.
We saw this in the World Cup when he was outstanding for his nation as they went unexpectedly far in the competition.
With Chelsea’s squad becoming inflated, first-team football was far from guaranteed, that’s why a move to Paris would’ve been an absolute godsend for Ziyech.
But at the very last minute, the deal fell through due to Chelsea submitting the wrong documents three times in a row. They have since been accused of foiling the move on purpose but have now claimed that a computer error was to blame.
According to reports, they sent the correct document but an issue with the email caused it not to go through in time.
