Will Smith marched up on stage to slap Chris Rock at the Oscars last night – but was it staged?
Chris Rock made a joke about Will Smith’s wife, Jada, that he initially laughed at before realising that she had clearly been offended by it.
Instead of letting it slide, acknowledging that offensive jokes are commonplace at award ceremonies of this nature, Will Smith felt the need to retaliate.
He got off of his chair and marched onto the stage to hit Chris Rock in front of the entire audience and those watching at home.
He could he heard then saying, “keep my wife’s name out your f***ing mouth.” What on EARTH has happened here?

There are those that are insisting that it has to be staged, but Will’s definitely made solid contact there and his swearing is audible. Surely they wouldn’t have got the green light to go ahead with this?
Either way, it’s currently the hottest topic in world news right now, with it being so remarkably out of character for Will to choose violence over something so silly.
