Hamzah Sheeraz’s world title challenge ended in disappointment but the Briton was fortunate to claim a draw against WBC middleweight champion Carlos Adames in Saudi Arabia.
Sheeraz never really got going in the fight and his 15 fight KO streak came to an end.
Adames looked a clear winner and Sheeraz was fortunate to escape with a draw with the three judges in Riyadh scoring it 118-110 to Adames, 115-114 to Sheeraz and 114-114.
Speaking to Sky Sports following the draw Sheeraz said: “I’m an overachiever. I’m very blessed but we’ll go back to the drawing board and fix those errors.
“No excuses, I’ve got a hand injury but that’s got nothing to do with the outcome of the fight.”
Some pretty wild conspiracy theories started to float about on social media about Turki Alalshikh with some claiming he fixed the fight and others claimed that he knew the scorecards and informed Sheeraz’ team.

Social media users claimed that the Sheeraz fight result was ‘fixed’.
