Dillian Whyte has been set a firm deadline for signing the fight contract with Tyson Fury.

Whyte, the WBC mandatory challenger, has been waiting patiently for his opportunity to fight for a world title.

With step aside talks between Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk falling through, Whyte will get his chance to take on the Gypsy King, with the WBC heavyweight title on offer.

Fury has confirmed the fight via social media, Eddie Hearn has also confirmed that it will be taking place, but we are yet to hear anything from Whyte himself in regards to the proposed fight.

He better get a move on if he really does want to fight Fury, because as is reported by The Sun, a deadline of February 21st has been set for him to sign along the dotted line of the fight contract.

The report notes that the initial plans are to host the bout in April at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, but that is all subject to change and requires confirmation from Whyte’s side.
