The GAA club in Wexford Naomh Éanna have lost their club president, the club took to their twitter to say;
Myles ‘Mylie’ Acton RIP 22nd May 1929 – 1st November 2022 Naomh Éanna #GAA club extends its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of our much loved club President Myles ‘Mylie’ Acton, who passed away earlier this afternoon.
A loyal club supporter, Mylie was regarded by one and all as a thorough gentleman. A former welder by trade, Mylie and his loving wife of 68 years Nancy raised a family of eight children in Cluainín, #Gorey, namely Margaret, Mylie, Anita, Liz, Geraldine, Mick, Kia and Garrett
As club President, Mylie was kept well up to date on the club successes thanks to his devoted family, including his daughter and son in law, Geraldine and Louis Cullen, granddaughter and club PRO, Aoife Parle, and his grandsons, 2018 Senior HC medallists William Cullen & Gearóid
