Mark Noble came off the bench today to take the last minute penalty for the Hammers only for the Spanish shot stopper and Manchester United’s number one goalkeeper David de Gea to deny the English man at the end.
It was Jesse Lingard that came back to haunt the Hammers at the London Stadium, Lingard was excellent for West Ham last season while on loan in East London, but today scored the winner. That could prove to be a massive three points for the Reds as they draw level with Liverpool in the Premier League table.
Mark Noble will be extremely disappointed with this miss though and was it the right call to bring him off the bench to take the Penalty?
