West Ham’s Nikola Vlasic was left in floods of tears after his challenge on Burnley’s Ashley Westwood left him with a HORROR injury.
We’ve seen some truly nasty injuries in the Premier League over the years. We saw a shocker as recently as the first half of the season, with Liverpool starlet Harvey Elliott having had his ankle left in a tangle.
Oftentimes, they’re freak accidents, it’s nobody’s fault. Ultimately, football is a contact sport and with that comes the acceptance that players will be injured as a result of that contact every now and then.

That was once again the case as Burnley headed to West Ham this afternoon, after a strong challenge from Nikola Vlasic inadvertently left Ashley Westwood on a stretcher, receiving attention from the paramedics.
Vlasic’s challenge appears to have broken Westwood’s ankle, something that the West Ham player clearly felt very guilty about. Both players were consoled by their teammates, for different reasons. Both players utterly devastated…
