Jamie Wall received a thunderous reception and a standing ovation when he walked into a reception at the Rochestown Park hotel with the aid of an Exo-skeleton.
Jamie, who was a dual star at underage level for Cork, had his life turned upside down last summer when a bacterial illness led to an abscess on his spine.

He was operated on, but the compression on his spine left him unable to move his legs and confined to a wheelchair.
The 23-year-old has refused to give up on recovery from the illness, saying in April: “Who’s going to keep fighting for you if you give up on yourself?”
“I haven’t given up on walking again. The odds aren’t what I’d like them to be, but so what?”
Jamie has been using the device up to three times a week to simulate walking movements and was a special guest at a Gala Lunch at the Rochestown Park Hotel to mark the 25th anniversary of the double All-Ireland wins.
All proceeds from the night went to the Friends of Jamie Wall fund and the Dessie Fitzgerald injury fund.
