Arsenal and Premier League legend Nwankwo Kanu celebrates his 41st birthday today and nobody can deny that the gangly Nigerian left a brilliant mark on the Premier League.
Kanu spent 5 years at Arsenal scoring 37 goals in 119 appearances but it’s one performance in particular that people remember the 6ft 5 striker for.
On October 23rd, 1999 Kanu single handedly knocked Chelsea out of the FA Cup thanks to a sublime hat-trick which is still played in highlight reels to this day.
He scored all three goals in the final fifteen minutes as Arsenal came from behind to inflict a memorable defeat on arch-rivals Chelsea. See for yourself below.
