It’s that time of year again when FIFA start dishing out awards and we want to focus on the most exciting one – The Puskas award.
The FIFA Puskás Award was established on 20 October 2009 by FIFA to award the player, male or female, judged to have scored the “most beautiful” goal of the calendar year.
The award was named in honour of Ferenc Puskás, the striker of Real Madrid during the late 1950s and the 1960s who scored a once world record of 84 goals in 85 internationals. He is one of the top scorers of the 20th century, with 512 goals in 528 matches.
Some former winners of the award include superstars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and James Rodriquez.
This year has 11 new nominees and we have all 11 goals, one-by-one for you to watch and enjoy but the question remains – who will win the award for 2020?
