James Ward-Prowse has given Southampton the lead over Tottenham – and what a goal it was from the Saints skipper.
Ward-Prowse has frequently been the man to step up and deliver for Southampton in their time of need, especially from the penalty spot or free-kicks.
In this case, JWP has netted from open play and showcased his superb volleying technique in the process.
The England international saw the ball bounce up nicely for him inside the Spurs penalty area, and through a sea of bodies, he managed to smash the ball home past Hugo Lloris.
The way that Ward-Prowse cut across the ball when striking saw it move away from the Tottenham keeper. What a finish!
