A Wales fan sadly lost their life in Qatar after watching their country fall to defeat against Iran, it has been announced.
Wales’ World Cup hopes were left in tatters on Friday after losing 2-0 against the Iranians, with Wayne Hennessey having been sent off before the late capitulation.
Those Wales fans who travelled to Qatar to see their country in action will no doubt be devastated that their trip is now highly likely to be cut short, at the group stage.
However, when they do return back to their native Wales, they will be one man down, with one of the travelling contingent sadly having lost their life in Qatar.

The cause of death has not been revealed, but there doesn’t appear to be any suggestion of suspicious circumstances surrounding their passing.
It’s an absolute tragedy and we can only offer our support to the man’s friends, family and wider loved ones.
To travel out to Qatar to watch Wales is testament to how much he must’ve loved seeing his country in action. At least he was able to do that one last time.
