A newly emerged video of Keith Lee in conversation with Vince McMahon could go some way to explaining his release from the WWE.
Lee was among the 18 fighters to have been released by the WWE last Thursday. His departure, in particular, was one that had the fans asking questions, with the former North American Champion still having several potentially entertaining storylines which will now go unfulfilled.
There will be a reason behind McMahon’s decision to cut Lee. Don’t be fooled by the official word of “budget cuts.” The WWE has tried to impersonalise the departures, but there’ll be specific reasoning for the releases of all the fighters in question.

You get the impression that Lee was unable to fully win McMahon over during his short time in the WWE. Many would argue that the company themselves are responsible for stunting the development of his character, but that’s a matter for another day.
