Duje Cop put his team into the lead before half time but at a serious cost to his own health and at a serious cost of pain. Standard Liege are away to Rangers at the Ibrox tonight and have been in a leading position twice with Rangers currently drawing 2-2. Duje will not want to watch the replay for this and many people are seeing the resemblance to Phil Babb’s injury when playing for Liverpool as he collided with the post.
Phil Babb’s injury was completely in vain as he didn’t get to save the ball while at least Cop scored a goal for his side in a major European clash.
He had to sacrifice 2 balls to score 1. He was then subbed off when the team went in for half time. It must still be hurting.
