Rayo Vallecano fans trolled Liverpool with a chant during their La Liga game last weekend.
The Spanish club are currently in a tremendous position in La Liga, after their 2-0 win over Almeria last weekend they now sit fifth in the table.
The club was only promoted to the first division two years ago and fans are clearly ecstatic with their side’s recent performances and results. So much so that they have devised their own chant which includes Premier League club, Liverpool.

During their 2-0 win last weekend, fans started chanting, “Next year, Rayo-Liverpool”, claiming that they will finish in the Europa League places and face the Merseyside club in the competition.

This seems like a direct dig at Jurgen Klopp’s team who have fallen off massively from last season and now sit 10th in the league.
Rayo fans might end up being disappointed however but not because of their own failure to qualify for European football. After the World Cup break finished many still tipped the reds to claw their way back into the top four but as weeks have gone by, it seems impossible for them to recover.
If results don’t change soon, then they might not even make it into the Europa League.
