Southampton fans mocked Manchester City’s star striker with a hilarious ‘Rickie Lambert’ chant in their 2-0 EFL Cup victory.
The Saints surprised everybody when they easily dispatched Premier League holders Manchester City in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.

Man City is currently in a heated title race with Arsenal while Southampton is struggling to keep their head above water at the bottom of the table.
Pep Guardiola, of course, made some changes to his side but still, a second-string City team is better than most’s first. Sekou Mara and Moussa Djenepo both scored in the first half to make it 2-0 and that’s how the game finished.
Guardiola tried to rescue a result in the second half by bringing on some of the big guns, including star striker Erling Haaland. The Norwegian frontman has taken the league by storm, amassing an incredible 21 goals already this season.
But he couldn’t find the back of the net against Southampton and the fans sure let him know it.
Chants of “Your just a sh*t Rickie Lambert” could be heard around Saint Mary’s Stadium.
