Roy Keane hasn’t held back and has brutally criticised Declan Rice stating that ‘he needs to do more’.

During his time at Manchester United, Keane was one of the best midfielders in the world and will go down as one of the greatest to ever play in the Premier League.

So if anybody knows what it takes to play in the middle of the park it’s him and the Irish man hasn’t been too impressed with Rice this season.

Speaking before Manchester United’s FA Cup clash against West Ham, Keane criticised the 24-year-old for his performances this season.

‘He’s got to focus on doing well for west ham this season.’ Keane said on the ITV panel.

‘I don’t think he’s been that great this season. He’s not really kicked on for all the talk about him and all the PR coming out of west ham about him… I think he needs to do a lot more.

‘He doesn’t score enough goals and he doesn’t get enough assists.’

His colleague, Ian Wright seemed a bit taken aback by his comments.

‘You disagree that’s good, I hope you disagree with me, because I played in midfield, but for me he needs to do a lot more. Let’s see what he’s like now tonight.’ Keane replied back.
