UFC 257’s main-event did not disappoint.
The promotion’s first PPV event of the year has seen Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier claim a massive victory over none other than the ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor.
The fight did not get out of the second round during a match-up which appeared to see McGregor take an early lead on the scorecards.
However, the the fight’s turning point came once Poirier started hammering McGregor’s lower right calf.
It didn’t take long from there for the American powerhouse to see his Irish opponent off.
The question now is whether or not Poirier’s performance will be enough to lure lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov out of retirement.
