Barca took the lead in the 38th minute after some lovely play by the Catalan giants where they cut the Bilbao defence open leaving Messi with an opportunity which he made look easy.

Earlier in the game Messi stepped up once again by providing a brilliant pass to Frenkie de Jong in the 14th minute which the young Dutch international header back into the box into the path of Pedri who equalised for the Catalan giants.

Messi has been linked with a move away from Barcelona this summer when is current contract runs out.
In an interview with La Sexta’s Jordi Evole, Barcelona hero Lionel Messi revealed that he will not make a decision based on his future at Barcelona until the summer time.
The 33 year-old is out of contract in June and is free to negotiate with other clubs from January 1st but the Argentina international says he will not make any decision about his future until the summer.
