Yann Songo’o has become the centre of some controversy after the Morecambe midfielder was sent off in the 45′ for using a horrific homophobic slur that’s caught on camera.
Just before half time and a Tranmere player was down receiving treatment with Yann is heard calling a rival player a “f*ggot”.
Tranmere players are immediately heard saying “Woah, woah, you heard that?!” towards the referee who immediately brought out the red card and gave Songo’o his marching orders.
There seems to be no real coverage of this incident yet with no statement from either club or the League 2.
Tranmere went on to capitalise on their man advantage and went away with a full 3 points away from home.

Thankfully the referee was confident enough and didn’t have to think twice before sending Yann off.
