Tonight was an absolute masterclass from Manchester United as they demolished Southampton in Old Trafford and Mike Dean was loving himself as he managed to award one penalty to United and two red cards to Southampton.
After being called over to the VAR monitor for a challenge on Martial inside the Southampton box by Jan Bednarek, Mike Dean was seen laughing to himself.
He must have been absolutely flabbergasted that he was called over to the monitor with Southampton 6-0 down and the Video Assistant Referee must have asked for Mike to send Jan off when they were already at such a disadvantage.
He then had to go back onto the pitch to give Jan his marching orders with a straight red.

Manchester United then went on to score another two goals after Bruno’s penalty and left the final score at United 9-0 Southampton.
