Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards produced a quite brilliant reaction when his beloved Sky Blues netted against Paris Saint-Germain last night.
When Marquinhos opened the scoring for the home side in the midst of a period of pressure on Man City’s defence, you feared for Pep Guardiola’s men.
However, they dug in, which they don’t often have to do, and managed to keep the deficit at just one goal, which left them with a fighting chance of turning it around.
Though you could argue that Man City scored two absolute flukes, with Kevin De Bruyne’s goal not even a shot and Riyad Mahrez’s only going in via a break in the wall, their second-half performance was quite superb.

City deserved what they got, and ultimately positioned themselves brilliantly to progress into the Champions League final for the first time in their history.
