Manu Tuilagi received a red card just 13 minutes into the game against Northampton Saints on Saturday.
The centre is set to miss out on selection for England’s clash against Wales next weekend after the brutal challenge on Tommy Freeman.
The Sharks were up 5-0 when the incident occurred, trying to complete a try, Tuilagi drove his elbow into the opposition player.

After a quick deliberation with the TMO, the referee Ian Tempest, had no choice but to send the 31-year-old off.
