Lionel Messi has given Argentina the lead in the World Cup final with a cool penalty.
Argentina lead France 1-0 after an opening 20 minutes which was dominated by the South American side. You could feel a goal coming for Argentina and they were given their opportunity when Angel Di Maria was brought down in the box by a lazy Ousmane Dembele challenge.
Of course, Messi stepped up with ice in his veins and stroked the ball into the bottom corner.

If Argentina wins tonight it will be their first World Cup since 1986 and their third overall. There is a long way to go but the South American team have looked by far the better side.
If Messi wins it tonight there is no doubt that he will be forever remembered as the GOAT.
