Bernardo Silva almost had his head taken clean off after Kyle Walker aimed an absolute thunderbolt of a throw in his way.

The contest’s only goal came in the 63rd minute when substitutes Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez combined for a beautifully simple winner. Questions will be asked of the Chelsea goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, but nonetheless, the substitutions worked perfectly for Pep Guardiola.
Silva was one of the players who was substituted off in the second half but he could have been carried off on a stretcher much earlier.
In the 35th minute, Walker took a throw-in which he absolutely fired at the midfielder’s head. Lucky for him he dove out of the way just in time.

I don’t think there are many players in the world who would have even attempted to control that ball. Either Walker didn’t realise how close the midfielder was or he overestimated his close control.
The win for Man City has helped close the gap to Arsenal, who currently have a five-point lead at the top of the table.
For Chelsea it’s not looking so good, they are 10th in the table and are already considered a lost cause for Champions League football.
