Jan Bednarek was having a terrible week before today’s game against Newcastle and it’s only gone and gotten worse for the Polish defender.
He was in defence for Southampton’s 9 goal loss to Manchester United where the big man managed to score an own-goal, give away a penalty and also get a red card all inside one game.
Jan managed to get a one-match ban but an appeal from Southampton meant his ban was overturned and he was available to play today in their match against Newcastle.
He has re payed the club for trusting him and appealing his ban by scoring yet another own-goal. He still has time to give away a penalty and get sent off so let’s see how he gets on.
