The 29-year-old has signed a short-term contract until the end of the season and he will wear the number 11 shirt.
It seemed on the cards that Wilshere would sign after Bournemouth after managerĀ Jason Tindall told talkSPORTĀ that heĀ was so impressed with him in training heās considering offering Wilshere a short-term contract with the Championship side.
Tindall said:Ā āJackās still training with us, heās training well, heās looking sharp and itās really good to have him.
āItās a situation weāll keep monitoring in the next week or two and weāll see where Jackās at, and what we feel as a club in terms of what would be the best thing moving forward.
āWhenever youāve got a player of Jackās quality training with you and youāre able to have a closer look, it would be foolish to say thereās not a chance of wanting to do something.ā
Wilshere wonāt feel out of place though as he had a loan spell with Bournemouth back in the 2016/2017 Premier League season.
He made 27 appearances and āThe Cherriesā who finished ninth that season ā the highest finish in the clubās history.
Wilshere had previously considered a move abroad with AmericaāsĀ MLS or Spainās La Liga looking like the favourable destination.Ā West Brom were also reportedly interested in securing his signature.
Thankfully for Bournemouth the creative midfield chose them and he has become their first signing of the season.
