Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher has given Irish football fans bit of a shock after his real accent was on display during an interview with Off The Ball.
Gallagher is originally from Ringsend in Dublin and he’s had to dum down his accent for English people because they couldn’t understand him.
You may recognise Gallagher from his appearances on Sky Sports but his voice is much different on TV so people can understand him.
The 63-year-old said that Sky had concerns about his accent and how he pronounced words beginning with ‘th’ but thankfully for the broadcaster Gallagher had managed to train himself to speak differently so British viewers can understand him.

The now retired referee spent 15 years officiating top flight football in England and in the Champions League before hanging up his whistle in 2007.
Gallagher now makes regular appearances on Sky Sports as a refereeing expert to give explanations and advice on refereeing matters in football games.
