Johnny Sexton was victim to a very unfortunate scenario as he’s tackled and his head falls into the knee of Justin Tipuric and seemed to knock the Irish out-half and captain out cold.
Play continued on with for multiple phases with referee Wayne Barnes eventually halting play so the medical staff could safely see to Johnny Sexton without the fear of a stampede over the player on the ground.
They were caring for him for quite some time on the pitch and when he came to Sexton seemed absolutely furious that he had to be taken off of the pitch for a head injury assessment.
This just goes to show that doctors need to be trusted in this situation and not players because if he had his way, Sexton would have finished the match.
