The former Champions League winner with Liverpool was on RTE last night with Ireland’s Richie Sadlier and the two were not impressed with how French defender Benjamin Pavard was treated after what look like an awful head injury that knocked him out cold!
A lot of sports including rugby and now even football are coming under the spotlight for concussion and player safety, especially when you look at some of the former players in football that have been diagnosed with dementia and last night was not a good look for football, something will have to be done for proper protocol in the game. Especially when you see the head injury that Pavard received last night and then he received water on the back of his neck for treatment!
