Khabib Nurmagomedov is UFC’s current poster boy but we do not know how long this will last with the Dagestani fighter announcing his retirement in late 2020.
The Eagle announced his retirement in the octagon after choking out Justin Gaethje in October. He collapsed in the octagon in tears after losing his father during the COVID-19 pandemic.
After losing his father last year, Khabib’s mother asked him to retire as it would not be the same without Abdulmanap in his corner.
Since then Dana has been trying his hardest to tempt the Russian back into MMA.
Dana has seen visions of money with McGregor vs Nurmagomedov 2 on the cards until late Saturday night.
The much anticipated rematch was a possibility until Conor was dominated by Dustin Poirier and the fight ended with a second round TKO.
Dana White spoke with Khabib last night:
"He said to me I'm so many levels above these guys … it doesn't sound very positive."

Unimpressed by his competition in the lightweight division, Khabib told Dana what he thinks about his future in the UFC and it’s not positive.

It seems like we wont be seeing the Eagle dominate the competition again. He retires with a perfect record of 29 fights, 29 wins, 0 losses.
