UFC Fight Night 18 had two of the longest serving fighters in the promotion in action last night and both of their careers might have come to an end.
Frankie Edgar was taking part in a Bantamweight bout against ‘The Sandman’ Cory Sandhagen and finish the fight in stunning fashion in the first round flying knee KO.
Less than 30 seconds into the round and Cory was feeling confident against the ex-champ so he went for an audacious move with the flying knee that connected with Edgar’s chin and put him to sleep with no chance that Frankie would get up again.
Cory now feels he should be fighting for the title next after his dominant display over the UFC veteran.
It’s hard to argue with that, if the 28 year old can pull off another move like that in his next bout, it’s hard to imagine anyone stopping him. What a flying knee!
