Conor McGregor suffered his first KO defeat in the octagon last night at the hands of Dustin Poirier.
The two first met in 2014 where McGregor came out on top, handing Poirier his first knockout defeat in the UFC, since then they have gone down two very different career paths.
Dustin stayed in the UFC with McGregor making a cameo appearance in the boxing ring against Floyd Mayweather.
They met again last night and McGregor was dominated from the start with Dustin repeatedly punishing Conorโs legs with kicks.
He then landed the knockout blow in the second round combined in a flurry of punches which all connected with the Irishmanโs face.
Khabib then tweeted after the fight, with an insult directed right at McGregor.

McGregor was then asked what he thought about this tweet in a press conference.
โThatโs the character of the man for sure, behind the mask. Whatโs he want to do? Does he want to come back or no? Cause heโs not throwing no leg kicks.โ
"That's the character of the man."

Is the rivalry between the two now officially dead?
