Frank Lampard’s Chelsea were on the losing side against pep Guardiola’s Man City last night in Stamford Bridge with goals from Foden, De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan sealing the 3 points. In the game that ended Chelsea 1-3 Manchester City, Frank’s side were ebing dominated for a period around the 60′ and football commentator Peter Drury couldn’t help but make a joke. A joke that non-Chelsea fans found hilarious, when Chelsea got the ball at tthe edge of their own box and a defender cleared it up the pitch, Peter is heard saying
“Chelsea have had their first touch since about last Tuesday”.
This is the kind of wit that secured Peter a job with ITV in the past and now he commentates on Premier League, Europa League and Champions League in different stations. What did you make of Chelsea’s performance yesterday, did they deserve to be the butt of so many jokes?
