Christian Eriksen is BACK! The Brentford midfielder provided his first assist since returning to the Premier League this afternoon.
The bulk of the football community could never have predicted that Eriksen would return to the sport after he suffered a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020 – yet along be playing Premier League football this soon after the event.
However, Eriksen’s never-say-die attitude not only prevented him from meeting his maker on the field of play, but he’s commendably fought himself back into fitness and in good enough condition to compete in England’s top tier.
Eriksen got his reward on Saturday afternoon, delivering a SWEET left-footed cross onto the head of Brentford teammate Ivan Toney during his side’s win over Burnley. How good is it seeing him back on the pitch doing what he does best?
