Slonina and his USA team earned a 2-0 win over Slovenia yesterday to confirm the country’s status as the only team throughout the competition’s group stage to not concede a single goal, and that’s in no small part thanks to the 19-year old.

The save from Slonina is further evidence as to why Chelsea were so keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge last summer from Chicago Fire, fighting off Real Madrid in the process.
