Video: Caroline Weir scores a stunning chip in the Manchester derby

Caroline Weir pulled off a bit of magic in today’s Manchester derby in the Women’s Super League as Manchester City won convincingly.

A goal from Lucy Bronze gave Man City the lead early and her teammate Lauren Hemp then doubled the lead in the 71′ to make it 2-0 for the home team.

It was Caroline Weir in the 84′ to put the final nail in the coffin and secure the three points with her moment of brilliance.

The ball bounced around the Manchester United box before landing at Caroline’s feet at the edge of the box when she spotted United keeper Mary Earps slightly off her line.

The perfectly weight shot then looped over Earps head and into the back of the net.

This strike is very similar to Bruno Fernandes’ strike against Everton where the ball looped over the keeper’s head and into the left hand corner of the net.

Who did it better?
