Brazil right-back Danilo was lucky not to be sent off after landing a crushing high kick on a Croatia player at the Education City stadium.
Brazil faced off against Croatia in the quarter-finals of the World Cup today. The game got off to a slow start, with the usually scintillating Brazil team failing, for the first time this tournament, to cut through their opposition.

Croatia has looked well-structured and have managed to slow down the game thanks to their tactically brilliant midfield.
But Brazil could have had a man sent off when Danilo landed a high kick on Josip Juranović inside the first half hour.

Players have been sent off before for similar challenges. Even though Danilo did not intend to injure, it is still considered violent conduct.
