Wayne Rooney’s Street Striker (also known as Coke Zero Street Striker) was a British reality TV series that brought young talent from all around the UK to find Britain’s most skilful youngster.

The first series began in November 2008 and was broadcast on Sky1 on Sunday nights at 7pm with the overall prize for the winners ranging from trips to football training camps in Brazil and South Africa to tickets to the 2010 FIFA World Cup Finals.

The show was hosted by Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney with the assistance of former professional Andy Ansah and Sue Smith in series 2 and 3.

After conducting auditions all across the UK 24 finalists made it to the show in series 1 and only 20 in series 2 and 3 to perform several challenges in front of Wayne that were designed to challenge all their football skills.

Ounar Niasse won a trip to a Brazilian training camp in series 1 with the second series winner, Ashleigh Goddard, winning tickets to the 2010 FIFA World Cup Final in South Africa. The prize for the winner of the third series, Ricky Collins, was a trip to Argentina, where he got the chance to visit the street football projects in the Buenos Aires.
