If the Chelsea players were not already fired up for revenge when they meet Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night, Daniel Amartey has ensured that they will be.
The Blues were defeated by Leicester City in the FA Cup final, with a quite stunning strike from midfield maestro Youri Tielemans being the difference between the two sides when the full-time whistle blew.
While Chelsea will be absolutely gutted to have lost, the silver lining is that Thomas Tuchel’s men will be out for revenge on Tuesday, with a Champions League spot up for grabs when the two sides meet.
As if the Chelsea squad will have needed anymore motivation, Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey has shown complete disrespect to the club during the Foxes’ post-match celebrations.
Amartey picked up the Chelsea pennant, with the pennants being exchanged ahead of kick-off, as is tradition, and threw it to the floor, blatant disrespect towards Chelsea, and rubbing the defeat in their face.
