Unexpected change in Tyson Fury camp ahead of Dillian Whyte title defence

There has been an unexpected change to Tyson Fury’s corner personnel ahead of his fight with Dillian Whyte this weekend.

Fury will have wanted his preparations for his fight with Whyte to be seamless, with this being the first time he has ever defended a world title belt on British soil.

However, sadly for the Gypsy King, Jacob ‘Stitch’ Duran, who is considered to be the best cutman in the business, will not be in attendance at Wembley on Saturday.

Instead, Fury will be seen to by Steve Egan, who coached him at amateur level.

Just how significant an impact that will have on the fight remains to be seen. We’ve already seen Fury survive one HUGE cut in the fight against Otto Wallin.

Stitch was not in his corner for that fight either and Fury somehow avoided a stoppage defeat as a consequence of the gash on his forehead.

It is probably best if we don’t read too much into Stitch being replaced by Egan this weekend, but there’s no doubt it’ll be taken as good news in the Whyte camp.
