Video emerged of the Aston Villa goalkeeper mocking Kylian Mbappe in the dressing room afterwards and he was also spotted holding a doll with the Frenchmanâs crying face on it.
Now his Aston Villa manager, Emery, has stated that he will sit down and talk to the goalkeeper about his out-of-control emotions.
âWhen you have big emotion, sometimes it is difficult to control it,â Emery told reporters.
âI will speak to him next week about some celebrations but I respect that he is now under the national team and when he will be with us, he is our responsibility then we can speak about it.
âWe are so proud of him. He won the World Cup with his national team and itâs amazing.â
The Spanish manager isnât the only person taken aback by the Argentineâs celebration but he is one of the only people who can punish him for it.
