Emiliano Martinez could be in a bit of trouble after his manager, Unai Emery, wasn’t too impressed with his over-the-top celebrations after winning the World Cup.
Argentines across the world celebrated their country’s historic victory over France in the World Cup final last weekend. But Martinez, whose excellent performance in the penalty shootout won them the game, has taken his celebrations a little too far.
Video emerged of the Aston Villa goalkeeper mocking Kylian Mbappe in the dressing room afterwards and he was also spotted holding a doll with the Frenchman’s crying face on it.

Now his Aston Villa manager, Emery, has stated that he will sit down and talk to the goalkeeper about his out-of-control emotions.
“When you have big emotion, sometimes it is difficult to control it,” Emery told reporters.
“I will speak to him next week about some celebrations but I respect that he is now under the national team and when he will be with us, he is our responsibility then we can speak about it.
“We are so proud of him. He won the World Cup with his national team and it’s amazing.”
“I’ll speak with him next week about some celebrations.” 👀

The Spanish manager isn’t the only person taken aback by the Argentine’s celebration but he is one of the only people who can punish him for it.
What do you think of Martinez’s celebrations and should he be punished for them?
