Nurmagomedov, 32, who remains unbeaten (29-0) in the UFC is currently weighing-up his options after announcing his retirement after defending his lightweight title against Justin Gaethje last year.

Taking to the octagon’s post-fight mic after his dominant performance against Gaethje, Nurmagomedov declared that he would not be returning to fight without his father by his side, whom sadly passed away earlier last year.

Despite Nurmagomedov’s seemingly adamant stance on retirement, the Dagestani wrestler has been hotly tipped to make a shock return later this year.

A mouth-watering rematch with number-one contender Dustin Poirier is on the cards as well as a lucrative rematch with none other than the ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor.

However, with a decision yet to be made, Nurmagomedov may be forced to reconsider his future even more after Russian football club FC Kamaz have offered the 32-year-old a professional contract.

Nurmagomedov is a keen football player and has recently posted some footage of him enjoying ‘the beautiful game’ on his official social media.

However, taking the lightweight’s ambitions to perform at football’s highest level literally, FC Kamaz have recently announced they’ve offered the 155lb superstar a real-life contract.

FC Kamaz’s post directly translates to: “Welcome, Khabib! @khabib_nurmagomedov

We offer you to make your debut in big football as part of our team. There are a number of reasons:
– PFL is the football UFC
– There is a good example – the debut of a hockey player @hcakbars – @ a.luka89
– We play every match only to win
– A ambitious team with the task of entering the FNL

We invite you to the training camp in Novorossiysk, from February 12 to March 5, 2021.”

Just when you thought life couldn’t get any weirder eh?
