Jones, 33, boasts a near-impeccable record of 27 fights, 26 wins and one loss via disqualification and is widely regarded as the best mixed martial artist on planet earth.

After successfully defending his light heavyweight title on 14 different occasions, Jones is now set to make his heavyweight debut.

Jones’ heavyweight debut is set to be against the winner of Stipe Miocic vs Francis Ngannou which is scheduled to take place next month, as per Dana White speaking on Sportsnet.

Ahead of his mouth-watering heavyweight showdown, expected later this year, Jones recently took to his official social media to show-off his title winning credentials.

The 33-year-old superstar shared an image which listed the UFC fighters with the most title defences and said: “If you consider your favourite fighter the best and he’s not on this list, slap yourself. Have a great week.”

In what is some rare praise from Jones, the American even took the time to reply to a fan who bigged up women’s double champion Nunes.

Nunes has enjoyed a monumental rise in the UFC in the last few years.

After beating Misha Tate for the bantamweight title in 2016, ‘The Lioness’ went on a savage three title defence winning streak before moving up to featherweight to take-on Cris Cyborg.

Widely regarded as the most violent female, prior to facing Nunes, Cyborg had enjoyed 13-year winning streak.

After viciously knocking Cyborg out shocked the world, Nunes became the first female to hold two division titles which she still holds but continues to defend the bantamweight strap.

Another three title defences down the line and the Brazilian female is continually seeing her name among some of the sport’s most decorated stars and one of those who is clearly a fan, is Jones.
