UFC fighter Sean Strickland has caused outrage on social media after homophobic comments relating to his son.
It’s not uncommon for UFC stars to be embroiled in some form of controversy.
Conor McGregor, the poster boy for the UFC over the past decade or so, is one who has lost public opinion as a result of some of the offensive things he has posted online.
Sean Strickland, who is 10-3 when fighting on UFC cards, has become the latest to land himself in hot water after some pretty damning comments about the hypothetical scenario of his son being a homosexual.
Strickland wrote on social media, as quoted by The Sun: “If I had a gay son I would think I failed as a man to create such weakness…..”
“If I had a whore for a daughter I’d think she just wanted to be like her dad lol!!”

It’s an interesting take from Strickland, to suggest that men liking men is a character flaw and a consequence of parental failures. Unfortunately for him, we’re no longer in the stone age.
He ought to recognise, especially with his platform, that his words hold weight and his archaic opinions can cause offence. He clearly doesn’t, though, as he’s STILL going…
I have been getting some hate for that gay son joke. You beta males need to calm the fuck down, this isn’t your college you’re not going to get laid here by a “zir” or “it” by being a little bitch. It’s ok this is a safe place. Untuck your balls you’re allowed to be a “he” here.
